This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
What Your Warranty Covers:
Any defect in materials or workmanship.
For How Long After Your Purchase:
Beginning from the date on the invoice, you have the following warranty lengths depending on the product you purchased:
• Standard Residential Colors™: One (1) year.
• GraniteView™: One (1) year.
An extended warranty is also available for a minimal cost.
What We Will Do:
If you find any defect or are dissatisfied in any way with the item we have repaired and resurfaced we will fix the problem area.
How You Get Service:
Call the area office that did the original work. The office number is on your invoice. Have the invoice number and invoice date ready for our operator. Schedule a date for us to look at the problem. The manager assigned to your area will come out to you and verify that we are at fault and that it is covered by your warranty. If it is, then a Surface Technician will be scheduled to fix the problem at your convenience. Most likely it will be the same Surface Technician who originally did the work.
What Your Warranty DOES NOT Cover:
Natural disasters which damage item such as earthquake, fire, flood, etc. Damage from customer misuse or neglect such as cut marks, burns, ink stains, sanding off finish with harsh abrasives, etc. (We recommend English Ivy Surface Cleaner™ on your new surfaces.) An item removed from its original position to be placed somewhere else. Later customer decision to replace kitchen stove with one of a different size, or to replace the kitchen sink with one of a different size, or to replace the bathtub fixtures, shower fixtures or sink fixtures and all of which then show that the edges around those things are not resurfaced and the original laminate, tile, fiberglass or cultured marble is exposed. The functionality of item to be resurfaced. If sink or fixtures are removed and damage results in surface of countertop, bathtub or shower. Surface damage if the item was not cared for during the first seven days in the manner described on the Care Sheet. There is NO WARRANTY on kitchen sinks, resurfaced stove tops, resurfacing floor only of bathtubs, cosmetic repairs, local area repairs or repair work on rust in porcelain sinks or porcelain bathtubs. You have NO WARRANTY if you never paid for the work that was completed after being satisfied with the end result.
An extended warranty is available for a minimal cost.
How Much Longer Will My Warranty Be?
We will add two additional years beyond the standard warranty which comes with your product.
What Does it Cover?
The extended warranty covers everything the original warranty covered.
Are There Any Exclusions?
Yes, there are. To avoid confusion, please note: The extended warranty IS NOT available on items that A BETTER SURFACE does not offer a standard warranty on. These NO WARRANTY items may be on the same invoice as an item that has the extended warranty, but they were not purchased with an extended warranty and have NO WARRANTY. These items include kitchen sinks, resurfaced stove tops, resurfacing floor only of bathtubs, cosmetic repairs, local area repairs, and repair work on rust in porcelain sinks or porcelain bathtubs.
Also, your extended warranty will not apply if you never paid for the work completed after being satisfied with the end result.
What Is the Cost?
The cost of the extended warranty will be determined by the cost of what you are purchasing. This is outlined below. The percentage is PER ITEM, not total amount on invoice.
$0.00 - $300.00 = 15% of resurfacing cost. Minimum of $25.00
$301.00 - $500.00 = 12.5% of resurfacing cost. Minimum of $45.00
$501.00 - $1,000.00 = 10% of resurfacing cost. Minimum of $65.00
$1,001.00 - Up = 8% of resurfacing cost. Minimum of $100.00
